Upcoming Events
The Twilight Biathlon is a timed 5K run-and-shoot competition held at night on unlit terrain at The Burial Mound Shooting Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Competitors run a two-lap course through Oklahoma fields and woods, engaging four live-fire shooting stages along the route. Four divisions cover the field: 2Gun and PCC run Saturday night on white light, while NV 2Gun and NV PCC run Friday night on night vision only with no white light permitted. Scoring is time-based — your final score is the combined total of your four shooting stage times plus your course run time, with the lowest score winning.
The original nighttime run n gun biathlon — running continuously since 2018.
Dedicated Night Vision divisions on Friday — NV 2Gun and NV PCC with full white-light prohibition. A format almost no other event offers.
Individual timed releases every 5 minutes. Every competitor gets a clean, uncontested course with shorter wait times.
Two-lap odd/even stage rotation. Even competitors run even stages on lap one, odd on lap two.
Oklahoma fields, woods, and creek beds. Tests navigation and light discipline, not just shooting fitness.
Every competitor gets a Twilight Biathlon t-shirt. Top 3 in each division receive awards at the Saturday night ceremony.
